Since 1925 the John C. Campbell Folk School has provided experiences in learning and Community life that are joyful and enlivening. The Folk School offers year-round week long and weekend classes for adults in crafts, art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, nature studies, photography and writing.
The Institute for Continuing Learning is affiliated with Young Harris College. YHC is a private baccalaureate degree granting college providing a liberal arts education.
The Institute for Continuing Learning aims at a broad range of adult interests. Courses can include aerobics, antiques, computers, contract bridge, gardening genealogy, investing, music, wine, natural history, woodworking, painting sculpture, languages and writing.
Tri-County Community College is an accredited two year post-secondary institution. It provides extensive vocational, technical and adult education programs for continuing education students.
