May 6–Mountain Harbour Golf Club was proud to host today’s 2024 North Carolina High School Athletic Association Men’s Golf 1A Western Regional tournament.
More than 55 students participated, some of whom traveled four hours to Mountain Harbour. The schools included Mitchell High School in Bakersfield, Polk County High School in Polk County, Hayesville High School in Hayesville, Christ the King High School in Huntersville, Thomas Jefferson High School in Mooresboro, Langtree Charter High School in Mooresboro, Swain High School in Bryson, Cherryville High School in Cherryville and Cherokee High School in Cherokee.
Also, Andrews High School in Andrews, Highland Tech High School in Gastonia, Avery County High School in Newland, Draughn High School in Valdese, Bradford Prep High School in Charlotte, Murphy High School in Murphy, Mountain Island Charter High School in Gaston County, Bessemer City High School in Bessemer High School, Robbinsville High School in Robbinsville, Highlands High School in Highlands, and Mountain Heritage High School in Burnsville.
The tournament was an 18-hole straight play to determine who will play in the state tournament at Pinehurst Golf Course in Pinehurst.
